Unique presentation of renovascular hypertension due to fibromuscular dysplasia

A 21-year-old female with a history of right nephrectomy due to trauma presented several years multi-drug resistant hypertension. Her workup included negative autoimmune and vasculitidies panels urine catecholamines. Computed tomography imaging showed an acute hairpin turn her left renal artery. Intra-operatively, the artery demonstrated kinking exhalation. She underwent excision diseased portion end-to-end anastomosis. Final pathology fibromuscular dysplasia.
